The start of the holiday season is a very special time, a time to give thanks and be merry. At the Mill Rose Inn of Half Moon Bay it is a time of transformation. Located in the southernmost part of Pacifica, CA, this crescent shaped beach is just under a mile long. Pacifica State Beach is known as the starting point for many San Francisco area beginning surfers who also call this beach the Linda Mar Beach due to its proximity to Pacifica’s Linda Mar subdivision. Even if you are not interested in surfing, this beach provides a habitat for an endangered shorebird called the western snowy plover.   7. Big Sur
    Where the redwoods meet the ocean is an absolutely breathtaking sight. Travel along this 90-mile stretch of coastline with plenty to see along the way such as Bixby Bridge and McWay Falls.
  8. Monterey & Carmel
    From the well-known Monterey Bay Aquarium to The Carmel Mission, there is nothing but beauty in these Northern California towns.
