From the moment you enter the Mill Rose Inn you’ll recognize this is a place like no other. If the gardens are luxuriant, the Inn is no less so. Valuable antiques and watercolors, opulent decor and period furnishings create an ambiance of relaxed elegance in this Half Moon Bay inn. A Four Diamond Award winner, its décor and service are equally noteworthy. The interior atmosphere is full of classic European elegance. The parlor is luxurious yet welcoming, with warm colors and furnishings that reflect attention to detail. The library features a beautifully painted fireplace and a window alcove that looks out to the colorful gardens. In the dining room, walls of French doors open onto two gardens, expanding the space and bringing the outdoors in.

This unique environment is the creation of Eve and Terry Baldwin. Eve’s background in interior and floral design and wedding coordination combine with Terry’s in landscape contracting in 1980 to convert their 1901 cottage into the finest Bed and Breakfast Inn on the Coastside.
Half Moon Bay retains the flavor of its farming origins amid the sophistication of a blossoming resort. At the Inn’s doorstep hiking and biking trails in redwood forests, chain of secluded beaches, unique shops wine tasting and extraordinary art galleries.
“This is the second time that we stayed here (March 2016) and equally as romantic and wonderful as the first time which was last April. The owner/operator was very attentive each time and was thrilled when we called for a return stay. He had wine and cheese ready for our arrival along with a refrigerator full of complimentary water and soda. I LOVE the décor! I love the Jacuzzi tub and fireplace in the rooms. Exactly what we needed on a rainy, stormy evening at the coast!” Guest from Cabo San Lucas, stayed March 2016
