Enjoy stunning views at Half Moon Bay Golf Links during your game.

There’s no denying that Half Moon Bay is a special place. Our little seaside town has  something to offer everyone from gorgeous hiking trails to fine dining. If devoting a few hours to your golf game is your idea of a fun way to pass the time, then the city of Half Moon Bay does not disappoint there either.

Less than four miles from the Mill Rose Inn, Half Moon Bay Golf Links is a world-famous golfing destination with ocean views that can’t be beat.

In fact, the vantage point from the 18th hole on the Old Course is particularly stunning and is regarded as one of the highest ranked holes in the world.

The Old Course was designed by golf legend Arnold Palmer and golf architect Francis Duane. Opened in 1973, the 7,001-yard course has played host to many U.S. Open Qualifiers. The course provides an exciting game that will test its players’ strength and skill.

The Ocean Course plays and feels like a true links golf course which dates back to the origins of the game. Designed by Arthur Hills in 1997, the course is one of extremely few that can boast an outward and inward 9 that are each played against the ocean.

Beyond the game design and gorgeous views, Half Moon Bay Golf Links also prides itself on its excellent customer service. They offer valet service for its guests’ convenience who are taken — via golf cart — directly to the appropriate course

After their game, guests can enjoy a delicious meal at the Mullins Bar & Grill for traditional golf fare with a coastal twist. Diners can choose from a variety of seafood offerings, pasta, prime rib and more.

What does golf have to do with the Mill Rose Inn?

Here at the Mill Rose Inn we offer a special package for  golf lovers and people who love golf lovers. In other words, something for everyone, whether they’re fans of the sport or not. One couple recently selected the golf lovers package when they made their reservations and took advantage of its flexibility. We booked an afternoon tee time for the husband on the Old Course and a private spa reservation followed by a one-hour Swedish massage at the inn for the wife. When the husband returned we provided the couple with champagne, charcuterie and other treats. Afterward, the couple walked to the restaurant where they had dinner reservations and explored Half Moon Bay’s night life.
